Header Search – favethemes

The Global Search Bar, also known as Header Search, is one of Houzez's built-in search tools, displayed directly below the site's main navigation. It provides users with a quick and accessible way to search for properties from anywhere on your website.

Key Features:

Always Visible: This search bar is persistent across the site and always in view (depending on your settings), encouraging users to explore listings without needing to scroll or navigate away.
Highly Customizable: You can fully control its style, layout, position, visibility, and fields.

Configuration Options

To manage the Header Search, go to:
Houzez → Theme Options → Search → Header Search

Here are the main settings available:

1. Enable/Disable Search

Toggle the header search bar on or off with a simple switch.

2. Search Style

Choose from different pre-built visual styles for how the search bar appears under the navigation.

3. Search Layout

Boxed
Full Width

This determines the width of the search container.

4. Search Position

Under Navigation: Below the top menu.
Under Banner: Displays on top of sliders, images, or maps.

5. Search Pages

Decide where the search bar should appear:

Only Homepage
Only Inner Pages
Homepage + Inner Pages
Specific Pages

6. Search Visibility

Enable or disable the Header Search for specific page types:

Property Detail Pages
Taxonomy Pages
Blog & Single Post Pages

Search Builder (Drag & Drop)

You can organize which fields appear in your Header Search using the Search Builder:

Enable/Disable fields like: Keyword, Cities, Status, Bedrooms, Bathrooms, Area, Price, Type, Property ID, etc.
Create a custom experience that matches your market's needs.
Drag and drop to change the order.

Additional Features

Radius Search: Enable to allow users to search within a radius from a location.
Price Range Slider: Replace dropdowns with a more intuitive slider.
Advanced Filters Visible: Show all filters by default, instead of hiding under an "Advanced" toggle.
Sticky Advanced Search: Keeps the advanced filters fixed at the top as users scroll (desktop and mobile supported separately).

The Header Search is a key element of user experience in Houzez, and thanks to its flexibility, it can be tailored to fit a wide variety of real estate websites—from simple lead capture to advanced property filtering.
