Search System Overview

Houzez offers a powerful and flexible search system designed specifically for real estate websites. Whether you're building a single-agent site or a large property marketplace, Houzez provides multiple built-in search options and full control over how users find properties on your website.

Built-in Search Types

Houzez comes with several pre-designed search modules, each with its own purpose and settings. These include:

• Global Search Bar (Header Search)
  This search form appears at the top of your website, integrated directly into the header. It provides quick access to property filtering from any page.
• Half Map Search
  Available on pages using the half-map layout, this search bar is optimized for map-based property browsing. It combines filters and interactive map results for an engaging user experience.
• Dock Search
  A compact, sticky search bar that appears at the bottom of the screen. It's great for keeping the search accessible without taking up too much space.
• Banner Search
  Displayed within the hero section (or banner area) of your homepage or landing pages. It's ideal for guiding visitors into the search experience right away.

All of these search types are custom built-in features of the Houzez theme, with their own configuration panels in the Theme Options. You can control their visibility, layout, and what search fields to display — no extra plugins needed.

Elementor Search Builder

For full design flexibility, Houzez also includes an advanced Search Builder widget for Elementor.
This drag-and-drop tool allows you to create completely custom search forms with:

• Flexible field layouts (horizontal or vertical)
• Multiple column configurations
• Advanced field types (dropdowns, sliders, keyword search, etc.)
• Full control over which taxonomies and filters to display
