Property Type

Real estate listing has property types fields to describe the kind of property for sale. You can create different property types based on your needs, for example, you can assign the type Apartment or Single Family Home to a property.

How to Access

From your WordPress dashboard, go to: Real Estate → Type

How to create a new Property Type

1. Name: insert the name for your property type like “Apartment” for example.
2. Slug: insert the slug for your property type (optional)
3. Parent Category: select parent property type if needed. Usually, you don’t need to do it.
4. Description: The description is not prominent by default; however, some themes may show it.
5. Global Color: If you use the price marker as property pin, you can customize its color
6. Property Type Image: Upload an image that can describe your property type. This image will be used on the Houzez Grid Module
7. Google Map Marker Icon: Upload the icon to mark this kind of property
8. Google Map Marker Retina Icon: Upload the icon to mark this kind of property for retina devices
9. Custom Link: Enter custom link for this property type
10. Click on Add New Type

Add a Custom Marker for Each Property Type

You can upload a custom map marker icon for each property type. These markers will be used on the map when the "Marker Icon" option is selected in the Map Settings. This feature works with Google Maps and Mapbox only.

The following fields are available:

• Map Marker Icon
  Upload the standard version of the marker.
  Recommended size: 44 x 56 px
• Map Marker Retina Icon
  Upload a high-resolution version for retina screens.
  Recommended size: 88 x 112 px

Both images should be in PNG format with transparent background for best visual results.
