The Taxonomy Grids widget allows you to display property taxonomies (Types, Status, Labels, Locations, etc.) in a grid format. This widget is ideal for creating visually structured sections that help users browse listings by taxonomy categories directly from your page.
How to Add the "Taxonomy Grids" Widget
- In Elementor, open the page where you want to insert the widget.
- From the sidebar, search for Taxonomy Grids.
- Drag and drop the widget onto your page.
- The widget will load with default settings, which you can customize.
Configuration Options
Content Tab
- Columns: Choose the number of columns (e.g., 2, 3, 4).
- Image Size: Select the image size variation used for the taxonomy thumbnail.
- Choose Taxonomy: Select which taxonomy to display (Types, Status, Label, Country, State, City, Area).
- Show Child: Decide whether to display child taxonomies under the parent.
- Hide Empty: Option to hide taxonomies with no properties.
- Hide Count: Toggle whether the property count is shown.
- Order By: Set ordering by Name, ID, or Custom order.
- Order: Choose ascending (ASC) or descending (DESC).
- Number of Items to Show: Define how many taxonomy items to display.
Style Tab
- Title Typography & Color: Customize the font style and color for taxonomy titles.
- Count Typography & Color: Adjust the typography and color for property counts.
- Height: Control the height of the grid items.
- Grid Gap & Padding: Set spacing between grid elements and padding inside each card.
- Radius: Adjust border radius for rounded corners.
- Shadow (Normal/Hover): Add shadows for normal and hover states.
- Opacity & Opacity Color: Manage overlay opacity and overlay color for hover effects.
Best Practices
- Use consistent image sizes for a uniform grid layout.
- Enable Hide Empty to avoid displaying taxonomies with no properties.
- For large sets of taxonomies, limit the Number of Items to Show to maintain readability.
- Combine with a Section Title widget for better structure and context.
