The Taxonomy Cards Carousel widget is designed to showcase property taxonomies (Types, Status, Labels, Country, State, City, Area) in an interactive carousel format. It is ideal for highlighting categories of listings in a compact, engaging, and scrollable layout that works well on both desktop and mobile.
How to Add the "Taxonomy Cards Carousel" Widget
- Open your page with Elementor.
- From the Houzez Elements panel, drag and drop the Taxonomy Cards Carousel widget into your desired section.
- The widget will load with default settings, which you can then customize.

Configuration Options
Content Tab
- Choose Layout – Select the design layout for the cards (e.g., Layout v1).
- Image Size – Choose the image size or variation to display.
- Choose Taxonomy – Select which taxonomy to display: Types, Status, Label, Country, State, City, or Area.
- Type – Specify which taxonomy terms to include.
- Show Child – Decide whether to display child terms of the selected taxonomy.
- Hide Empty – Hide terms without any assigned properties.
- Hide Count – Show or hide the number of properties linked to each term.
- Order By – Define sorting criteria (Name, ID, Count).
- Order – Ascending or Descending order.
- Number of Items to Show – Set the maximum number of taxonomy cards to display.
Carousel Settings
- Slides to Show – Number of cards visible per slide.
- Slides to Scroll – Number of cards to scroll at a time.
- Infinite Scroll – Enable or disable infinite loop scrolling.
- Auto Play – Enable automatic carousel scrolling.
- Auto Play Speed – Set speed in milliseconds (default 3000).
- Next/Prev Navigation – Show or hide navigation arrows.
- Dots Nav – Show or hide dot navigation under the carousel.
Style Tab
- Title Typography / Color – Customize the font and color of taxonomy titles.
- Count Typography / Color – Adjust the appearance of property counts.
- Background Color – Set a background color for the cards.
- Gap Bottom / Gap Right – Control spacing between cards.
- Border Type / Box Radius – Define borders and card corner radius.
- Image Radius / Padding – Style image corners and spacing.
- Shadow – Add shadow effects for depth.
- Next/Prev Buttons – Customize arrow button styles (normal and hover).
Best Practices
- Use Hide Empty = Yes to avoid displaying taxonomies with no listings.
- Limit the number of items shown for better performance and cleaner design.
- Ensure images used for taxonomy terms are consistent in size and style.
- Enable Auto Play with caution; test on mobile to ensure smooth user experience.
