The purpose of the Membership system is to give the possibility to turn your website on a subscription-based portal where your users (the hosts) will be able to publish their listings by purchasing a membership plan.
The following steps are essential to set up properly your website for Membership. We suggest following our documentation as a sort of checklist.
Install the Membership Plugin
Note: Before installing the Homey Membership Plugin, it is advisable to update all the plugins that come by default with Homey and for its correct operation, you have installed at least version 2.0
You will find the membership plugin in your downloaded folder from Themefroest. Open the Plugins folder and you will see the homey-membership.zip file.
- Step 1: Install and activate the Homey Membership plugin from Plugins –> Add new –> Upload, you can find it in the Homey folder –> Plugins
Configure Membership Settings
- Step 2: In your left sidebar, navigate to Settings --> Homey Membership Settings
From this section you can:
-
Select the currency for membership packages.
-
Toggle payment methods for enable disable or testing mode.
- Step 3: Create a new page from Pages –> Add New and in Page Attributes go to Templates and select Homey Membership Subscriptions.
Create the membership packages
- Step 4: You can create packages according to your website needs at Homey Membership Menu --> Membership Packages.
Note: Package Stripe ID and Package Paypal ID options are disabled and will be generated automatically into your Stripe or PayPal account using your provided API keys.
That should be enough to run your website on memberships, and if everything is fine then the selection page should be like the image below.

Create the membership page for the host dashboard
This page is where the host will find his membership details in the front-end dashboard. For this, the admin needs to create the following page: Dashboard Membership Host
Important: After creating Membership Pages, the admin needs to reset Permalinks in admin under Settings –> Permalinks. For reset Permalinks just save Permalinks as Plain then reassign any other option.
