Advanced Search Options

Homey has basically two different search systems. The first is the one you see on the header banner (like on this page), the other is considered an advanced search and it can be placed below the navigation (like on this page) or below the header banners (like on this page). In the documentation here below we’re going to see which options are available for the advanced search.

Regardless of its location within your site, the advanced search system refers to the options you find in Homey Options > Search

 

Search: Enable/Disable the search system overall website

Layout: Select the search layout, boxed or full width

Search on listing detail page: Enable/Disable the search system on the listing detail page

Search Position: Select the search position. You can select where do you want to display the search on the page. The options available are:

• Under the navigation
• Under the banners

Search Pages: Select on what page you want to show search. The options available are:

• Only the homepage
• Homepage + Inner pages
• Only inner pages
• Specific pages

If you select specific pages, you will see a drop-down menu where you can select which pages need to display the search.

 

Minimum Prices List for Advanced Search Form: Only provide comma-separated numbers. Do not add any decimal points, dashes, spaces, or currency symbols.

Maximum Prices List for Advanced Search Form: Only provide comma-separated numbers. Do not add any decimal points, dashes, spaces or currency symbols.

Search Fields

Homey allows you to customize your searches. Let’s see how. Navigate to Homey Options > Search > Search Fields

 

Search Composer

By the admin panel, you can compose and re-organize the search at your choice. Use the tool you see here below to drag & drop the search elements as you prefer. This tool will customize both the search on the banners and the advanced search.

 

Hourly Search Visible Fields

By the admin panel, you can compose and re-organize the hourly search at your choice. Use the tool you see here below to drag & drop the search elements as you prefer. 

Location Field

Choose what location fields should search from

• Geo Location
  
• Title and Content
  
• Country
• State
• City
• Area

Other option available

Advanced Filters: Enable/Disable the advanced filters on the search system

Hide Fields: Choose which fields you want to hide in the advanced search area

Bedrooms, Rooms: Search criteria for bedrooms and rooms
