The Post Comments widget allows you to display the comments section within your single blog post template. It enables readers to leave feedback, ask questions, and interact with your content, creating a more engaging and community-driven blog.
How to Add the "Post Comments" Widget
- In your WordPress dashboard, go to Templates > Theme Builder.
- Open or create the Single Blog Post template with Elementor.
- In the Elementor panel, search for Post Comments.
- Drag and drop the widget into the area where you want the comments form and list to appear (usually at the bottom of the post).
Configuration Options
Content Tab
- Skin: Choose the skin for the comment form and comment list.
- Theme Comments: Uses the default style of your active WordPress theme.
Style Tab
- The widget inherits most of its styling from your theme and may have limited direct styling options in Elementor.
- You can still customize the surrounding container, margins, and spacing using Elementor's advanced controls.
Best Practices
- Place the widget at the end of the blog post to encourage readers to leave a comment after consuming the content.
- Ensure your theme's comment styling matches your website's design for a consistent experience.
- Enable moderation settings in WordPress to maintain quality and prevent spam in your comment section.
- If you prefer a third-party solution (e.g., Disqus, Facebook Comments), make sure not to duplicate with this widget.
Notes
- The Post Comments widget relies on WordPress' built-in comments system. If comments are disabled in your WordPress discussion settings, the widget will not display.
- Styling options depend on your theme. For more granular control, you may need to customize through CSS.
