The Post Content widget displays the main body of your blog post, including text, images, links, lists, and other elements added through the WordPress editor. It ensures that all content entered in the WordPress post editor is rendered inside your single blog post template.
How to Add the "Post Content" Widget
- Open your Single Blog Post template in Elementor.
- From the Elementor widget panel, search for Post Content.
- Drag and drop it into the main content section of your post layout.
Configuration Options
Content Tab
- This widget does not provide custom content options because it automatically pulls the content from the WordPress post editor.
Style Tab
- Alignment: Align the content left, center, right, or justified.
- Text Color: Set the global text color for the post body.
- Typography: Define font family, size, weight, line height, and letter spacing for the post text.
Best Practices
- Use this widget only once per blog post layout to avoid duplicating content.
- Manage the actual content of your posts through the WordPress post editor, not from the widget itself.
- Apply consistent typography and color styles here to ensure readability and maintain design coherence across all blog posts.
- If you use custom shortcodes or embeds, make sure they are supported by your theme and plugins so they render properly in this area.
Notes & Limitations
- The Post Content widget does not allow manual content editing inside Elementor; it mirrors the post body from WordPress.
- For styling individual elements (e.g., headings, links, blockquotes), adjust your global theme styles or use Elementor's Theme Style settings.
