The Section Map widget displays the property location on the Property Detail Page using the map provider defined in Theme Options (Google Maps or OpenStreetMap). This widget replaces the deprecated "Section Google Map" widget and provides a more reliable and flexible integration.
How to Add the "Section Map" Widget
- Open your Property Detail Page template in Elementor.
- In the widget panel, search for Section Map.
- Drag and drop the widget into the desired section of your layout.
- The map will automatically display the property location data pulled from the listing.
Configuration Options
Content Tab
- Pin or Circle: Choose between a marker pin or a circular area highlight.
- Zoom: Adjust the map zoom level (higher values zoom in closer).
- Map Height (px): Define the map container height in pixels.
Style Tab
The Section Map styling is inherited from the theme's global map settings. Customization options (map theme, colors, controls) can be managed through Theme Options → Map Settings.
Best Practices
- Always use the Section Map widget instead of the deprecated Section Google Map widget for full compatibility.
- Define your preferred map system (Google Maps or OpenStreetMap) in Theme Options before using the widget.
- Ensure all property listings include accurate latitude and longitude data so the map can display them correctly.
- Keep the map height consistent across property detail templates for a uniform look.
- If you need advanced styling (colors, custom pins, clustering), configure these options in Theme Options.
Notes
- This widget is the recommended replacement for the deprecated Section Google Map.
- Make sure your Google Maps API key (if using Google Maps) or OpenStreetMap integration is properly configured in Theme Options.
