The Property Excerpt widget is used to display a short summary or teaser text of the property description. It's commonly placed at the top of the Property Detail Page to give visitors a quick overview before they read the full property content.
How to Add the "Property Excerpt" Widget
- Open the Property Detail Page template in Elementor.
- From the Elementor sidebar, search for Property Excerpt.
- Drag and drop the widget into the desired section of your layout.
The widget will automatically display the excerpt text defined in the property listing backend.
Configuration Options
Content Tab
- Alignment: Align the excerpt text to the left, center, right, or justify.
- Text Color: Choose a custom color for the excerpt text.
- Typography: Customize the font family, size, weight, and line height for the excerpt.
Best Practices
- Keep the excerpt concise (1–2 sentences) to provide a clear and engaging summary.
- Use the excerpt to highlight the most attractive features of the property (e.g., "Spacious 3-bedroom home with ocean views and modern finishes").
- Ensure typography and text color align with your overall branding for consistency.
- Avoid duplicating the entire property description—reserve this space for a quick preview.
Notes
- The content is automatically pulled from the property's backend entry, so changes must be made at the listing level.
- If no excerpt is defined, the system may display the beginning of the property description instead.
